[02:23:28] <fermino> Regarding the bootchain thingy. I can't yet see the pros and cons of shipping the kernel-install profiles and hooks in, either (1) a bootchain-rpi package, that takes care of installing everything, videocore firmware, kernel, dtbs and initrd; or (2) firmware hooks in the firmware package, dtbs in the kernel package, and kernel+initrd in the bootchain package.

[04:31:48] <bschnei> fermino: for the pi5 kernel dtbs are installed to /boot by the linux-rpi5 package. Given how device specific that package is, it is the least bad option. A "shim" approach like stubble might be nice but because a vendor kernel is needed anyway, it is extra complexity that wouldn't seem to buy much yet
