I'd rather avoid having packages modify $BOOT directly https://gitlab.archlinux.org though you could argue if it's a device specific kernel package needed because the device already doesnt support a standard boot flow it likely matters a lot less

[11:27:07] <fermino> @bschnei, yup, I mean the pi4 (and I'm guessing naming it linux-rpi4 explicitly would be better). I'll take a look at kernel-install to see if it can be used to make the package cleaner (no clue if it supports anything non-efi). Tried to go the EFI route with edk2+sd-boot but I'm hitting something weird and booting takes A TON of time. Getting from edk2 to sd-boot took around 5 mins.
